Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. As a reporter, I shoot, write, and edit my stories to see them through from start to finish. I can handle the pressure of deadlines. I am a multitasker who can get work done in a timely matter. I worked at the assignment desk at KOMU, the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri. I was responsible for answering phones, managing reporter assignments, making beat calls, and maintaining the station's website at the same time. When we had breaking news, I was the person reporters, producers and editors relied on to coordinate the response. As a reporter, I learned to take well-organized notes, communicate professionally, and research fast and efficiently-- all while being on deadline. As a website editor, I had to edit stories efficiently and accurately to ensure they were posted before the newscast. I also learned how to use programs like WordPress, Photoshop, Excel, and discovered how to use Twitter to promote an organization.
